Roscommon Shannon of Irish dance surpassed all expectations at this year’s Irish Open Championships, which were held recently in the National Basketball arena, Dublin. At just 11 years of age, Megan Healy Cribbon took home her third Irish Open Championship. Lee Donoghue won the Príomh Duais Bun Grad Faoi 9. For their second year running they won the Craobh Comórtas Foirne Paiste and for the first time won the Dramaiocht Rince. After 5 days of competitions the Shannon Academy brought home 228 medals making 2008 Irish Open Championships a fantastic finish to one of the most successful years ever. Well done to all!
