Roscommon Gaels were the two-point winners in the Cora Systems Roscommon U-20 football championship division one final played at Bekan on Sunday. Final score: Roscommon Gaels 0-11 Michael Glaveys-Eire Og 1-6.
The combination side had a sensational start when Oisin Kelly scored a goal after only 25 seconds. The Town team got into the game later in the opening half and by half-time there were two points in it, 1-4 to 0-5.
With Conor Grogan, Ryan Conlon and Senan Lambe outstanding, the Gaels gained control and despite a superb display from Daniel Hagney Glaveys-Eire Og ran out of time in the end.
