Roscommon CBS had four points to spare over Scoil Mhuire Strokestown in this unique Connacht Colleges senior football ‘B’ final played at Enfield on Saturday as two county Roscommon schools met in the provincial final. Strokestown had a goal on the board inside two minutes from Conor Tighe but the county town school improved as the game went on and at half-time it was Strokestown 1-3 CBS 0-5. Sam Hannon and Owen Rogers were outstanding for CBS in the second half and they scored a total of 0-10 between them. CBS now face the Leinster champions in the All Ireland semi-final in two weeks time. Final score: CBS Roscommon 0-13 Strokestown 1-6.
