Sinn Féin TD for Roscommon/Galway Claire Kerrane has been ratified as Sinn Féin’s General Election candidate in Roscommon-Galway.
Speaking after the Convention on Thursday night, Teachta Kerrane said:
“I am honoured to be selected by members of Roscommon & Galway Sinn Féin to run in the next General election.
“I want to thank Michael Mulligan (Ballaghaderreen) for proposing me and Cllr Dermot Connolly for seconding my nomination.
“I made a promise to the electorate in 2020 to work hard and do my best. I’ve given this role everything, it’s been my no. 1 priority for the last four years and I’m very proud to have helped people and made a difference – there is no greater reward.
“I haven’t got everything right but I’ve done my best.
“On Election Day it’ll be over to the electorate.”
