A superb second-half display ensured that Padraig Pearses have swept into the AIB Connacht Club SFC final following a decisive 0-13 to 0-3 win against Leitrim champions Mohill in Ballinamore on Sunday. In damp conditions the first half was a dour affair with defences on top and by the half-time break Pearses led by a modest 0-3 to 0-2. But the Roscommon champions were a different side on the restart and inspired by Ronan Daly (who scored four excellent points from play), they totally dominated and pulled away to win easily. Pearses will face Sligo champions Coolera-Strandhill in the final. They defeated Ballina Stephenites in the other semi-final last Sunday in a penalty shootout. That decider will be in Markievicz Park on Sunday December 1st.
