A youth mental health event will be held at Glasson House in Athlone on 10th of September at 7pm, as part of The Rising, a national fundraiser organised by the charity A Lust for Life.
From September 8th to 15th, a dedicated team, including mental health advocate Niall Breslin, artist Maser, and musician Dee Fitz, will kayak the River Shannon, cycle 160 kilometers from Limerick to Killarney, and climb Carrauntoohil, Ireland’s highest peak, to support A Lust for Life’s free early prevention school programs focused on children’s mental health.
The event in Athlone will feature prominent speakers such as:
- Niall Breslin: Co-founder of A Lust for Life
- Dr. Louize Carroll: Psychologist and musician
- Bernie Keogh: Managing Director of A Lust for Life
This gathering aims to address the urgent issues surrounding youth mental health and foster community dialogue.
