Aoife O’Rourke, from Castlerea, secured a gold medal this afternoon after defeating Baison Manikon of Thailand in the 75 kg final at the 75th Strandja Memorial Tournament in Bulgaria.
The Tarmon native, who has already qualified for the Paris Olympics, won the fight on a 3:2 split decision.
