St Brigid’s through to the Connacht SFC Semi-Final

St Brigid’s breezed into the AIB Connacht SFC semi-finals after a facile 0-13 to 1-3 win against Coolera/Strandhill at Dr Hyde Park on Sunday.
County star Ben O’Carroll was on fire up front in the opening half for Brigid’s who led by 0-9 to 0-0 at half-time.
The Sligo side didn’t score until the 40th minute and their goal from Leo Doherty in the 54th minute was of consolation value only.
A worry for St Brigid’s are injuries to two of their most influential players, Ruaidhri Fallon and Brian Stack, both of whom had to go off in the second half.
They face Mohill in the semi-final next Sunday.
