Mary spends lockdown penning ‘Little Book’

‘Little Book’, a collection of short stories, poetry, and creative writing was recently released by Strokestown native Mary Hunt.

The book delves into topics such as mental health, homelessness, acceptance, and everyday observations.

This deep and meaningful collection of personal writing is autobiographical in nature and has sections dedicated to Mary’s family memories as well as other topics close to her heart.

“I first started writing when attending a creative writing course as part of the National Learning Network in Dublin and it’s an interest I’ve kept up over the years. When the lockdown came, it gave me time to put it all together,” Mary says.

“Some of the pieces are quite spiritual in nature and there is some poetry on the theme of homelessness.

“It’s a collection of short pieces I have written over the years and I plan on donating all proceeds to Focus Ireland”.

‘Little Book’ is dedicated to Mary’s parents and family and is available to purchase now in both Eurospar and Dawn Til Dusk in Strokestown, priced at just €8.
