MEP Luke ‘Ming’ Flanagan took to Twitter yesterday (Wednesday) to confirm that his family would enter into isolation after his young daughter had exhibited symptoms of coronavirus.
The Midlands Northwest representative tweeted that his daughter had experienced a cough, shortness of breath and a severe headache and following consultation with the family’s GP was now waiting to be tested.
MEP Flanagan has been vocal in his belief that not enough is being done to combat the threat of Covid-19 and has called for a total lockdown of the country as cases of the virus continue to rise.

Was in Roscommon town just there collecting medicine. Was left outside my car by a hero wearing a mask. At the same time I saw three elderly ladies standing around with a delivery man having a chat. Message is not getting through. I feel like getting a loud hailer. #coronavirus
