Speculation in political circles that the HAC might support Independent Deputy Denis Naughten in the next General Election would appear to be off the mark.
HAC Chairperson John McDermott told the Roscommon People on Wednesday that if there is no change on the Roscommon Hospital situation the HAC will run its own candidates in the local and national elections.
Meanwhile the HAC will stage a protest at the Hodson Bay Hotel next Tuesday when the Minister for Small Business, John Perry, attends a seminar there. Taoiseach Enda Kenny had been scheduled to attend, but won’t be doing so
