“I have been happy with our preparations since our semi-final win but our injury situation is a worry. Frankie Dolan looks like he will be ok but he has not trained since the semi-final and that’s a worry. Shane Curran is also a doubt and we are worried about the extent of his leg injury.
“Darren Dolan is very doubtful and Garvan Dolan is also a doubt. On the plus side Cathal McHugh is making good progress and may be ready to play a part. It is a worry to have these niggles but hopefully it will turn out ok on the day.
“This is a huge game for us, make do mistake about that. I would say that this is our biggest game of the year and a defining one for our season. When I was playing, to lose in a semi-final was much worse than losing in a final. If we can get to the Connacht final that would be great but we do not want to lose at this stage. “We have prepared thoroughly and instead of focussing on what Salthill are like I would prefer to be positive about what we are going to do on the day.
We were a little ropey in the first twenty minutes against Melvin Gaels but we played really well after that and if we can put together a performance on Sunday then we will be in the hunt make no mistake.
“We know that we will be up against a good side on Sunday but we think that we know where they are strong and hopefully we can counteract that. But we are just concentrating on our own game and we know that if we play well that we have a great chance of winning this game. We have to travel away from home but that’s part and parcel of playing in the championship and I am looking forward to this challenge. It’s a huge game for us and we are going to Salthill to win.”
