On Sunday, 6th October, Ian Conlon’s family and friends held a Tractor Run from Roscommon Town to Ballintubber in his memory. Two hundred and seven tractors participated, raising €9,031 for Vita House Roscommon.
Ian’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for the incredible support in making the Tractor Run a success. They would especially like to thank everyone who helped organise the run, particularly Emmet Fetherston of Keen Print, Eileen and Jim of Kenny’s Pub Ballintubber, the volunteers on the day, the participants, and the donors.
The turnout and support were more than we could have expected, showing how loved Ian is and how many lives he touched. We are eternally grateful to our friends, family, and community for the support they showed both on the day and throughout the past year.

Ian’s family said: “Vita House was there for us when we needed support. Given their assistance to us and others going through bereavement, it felt only right to donate to them. We highly recommend anyone in need reach out to Vita House and utilise this valuable resource in our community.”
Sarah Boyle, Director of Service in Vita House said: “On behalf of everyone in Vita House, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Conlon and Scanlon Family for their generous donation. Their contribution will directly enhance the lives of individuals and families in the community and plays a crucial role in our mission to provide vital therapy and services for those in need.

Their belief in our mission fuels our passion and commitment to helping those who are struggling. We commend the Conlon and Scanlon family for their remarkable courage in organizing this meaningful event. Our heartfelt condolences go out to them for the loss of their beloved family member, Ian.
